UAE Awafi Festival is an extremely popular annual event that takes place in Ras al-Khaimah. Over the years, this spring festival has attained a cult status all over the UAE and has been beguiling travellers from far and wide. The Awafi Festival celebrates the region's ethnic and cultural heritages with spectacular performances, dazzling cultural displays and incredible outdoor sports. All these events are held in the midst of the striking red sand dunes of the Awafi area in Ras Al Khaimah. Such events portray the charming and charismatic culture of the emirate in its full glory. The venue of the festival has a variety of sections like Heritage Village, a bazaar and a kids' play zone.
