Things to do in Ibiza
Ibiza still offers some of the best nightlife of any holiday destination; head to San Antonio Town for legendary clubs such as Amnesia and Pacha. Dancing and sunbathing aside, there are plenty of activities to enjoy on the island. The beautifully rugged bay of Cala Xarraca in the north is ideal for snorkelling and also has a naturally occurring mud bath. If water sports are on your agenda, you can take your pick from many beaches around the island, but San Antonio Bay offers some of the best ocean-based activities. The western coast is also the best place to relish Ibiza's beautiful sunsets.
Head inland and you'll come across charming, whitewashed villages, pine-clad hills and beautiful farmland. Cultural highlights include the Puig des Molins necropolis and the Ibiza Museum of Contemporary Art. Be sure to browse some of the colourful hippy markets, brimming with crafts, souvenirs and delicious street food.
Ibiza Town
Ibiza Town, the island's capital, is home to many excellent restaurants to suit every mood and budget. Its also here that you'll find the island's best shopping, from quirky stalls to upmarket boutiques. Set on a hill above the main town is Dalt Vila, the UNESCO-protected old town. Visitors can meander up the steep cobbled steps to the castle and 16th-century ramparts and enjoy the wonderful views.
