Start your fascinating journey from Mumbai. Arrive at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 1530 hrs. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed warmly and offered a refreshing drink. You will be registered for the luxury train journey and afterwards you will be escorted to your cabin. Shortly after that, the Deccan Odyssey will depart for Vadodra. Kick off your sightseeing tour in the city with a visit to the world heritage site, Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park. Several historical and cultural monuments can be located at this park. Follow it with a tour to the 15th century mosque, Jama Masjid. You will love the interesting fusion of Hindu-Muslim architecture that’s reflected in this mosque’s architecture. After lunch, continue your sightseeing with a vis it to Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum and Laxmi Vilas Palace. The latter is a royal residence and four times the size of Buckingham Palace! Enjoy breakfast and start your tour of Palitana, a popular pilgrim spot in Gujarat. Visit the famous Jain temples, located at a hilltop. Afterwards, return back to Deccan Odyssey to travel to Sasan Gir. Spend the afternoon at leisure in the luxurious Deccan Odyssey. Have dinner on board and enjoy overnight stay at Deccan Odyssey.

After breakfast, enjoy early morning drive to Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary, the habitat of Asiatic lions in India. You can also spot a variety of birds here. Patan is an ancient town loved by tourists for its sacred sites, lakes and forts. Deccan Odyssey will reach Patan by the morning. After having a delicious breakfast, drive to the sun temple at Modhera. You will be left awestruck at the splendid architectural designs of the temple. The temple complex boasts as many as 108 shrines. Later, you are scheduled to visit the world heritage site of Rani Ki Vav, which is a big, ancient step well and a fantastic example of subterranean well architecture. On this day, explore the charms of Nashik. Enjoy your breakfast and start your journey to explore Pandu Leni, an ancient Jain and Buddhist cave temple in India. Nashik is among the largest wine producing regions of India. You would visit the Grover Zampa vineyards and enjoy Chenin, Chardonnay and Shiraz wines. Visit the Godavari Ghats and feel the sublime serenity of the place. After all the sightseeing the day, it would be time for you to return to Deccan Odyssey and carry on you travel to Mumbai.
