Explore the historical attractions of the 19th Century Stone Town, which stands as the old city of Zanzibar. You will be guided by local experts and taken along a trail of long, narrow and winding streets that will lead to various remnants of its old monuments including the former Slave Market, Anglican Cathedral, House of Wonders, Sultans’ Palace Museum, Old Arab Fort and the Dispensary. As you visit each attraction and go past the local houses, don’t forget to observe the large, ornately carved and studded doors that are another famous aspect of Zanzibar. Visit the two cathedrals and numerous mosques of the town to get an insight into the spiritual side of its people. The tour slowly takes you from the past to the present as you visit its thriving local markets, including the Darajani Market to shop for souvenirs, fresh loaves of bread or fruit and vegetables. A visit to the Forodhani Gardens is perhaps the perfect way to end your tour – by savouring the fresh, local seafood and other delicacies including the Zanzibar Pizza. The Stone Town tour is flexible and can be tailor-made as per your individual requirement, depending upon whether you are a shopaholic, interested in a cultural tour or want an insight into its heritage.  Read More
